My name is Chris and I am the co-founder and chief editor for Protein Daily.
It all started in 1994 when I graduated college from the University of Florida and began working out.
I was a 6’0″ vegetarian weighing about 140 lbs with the weakest frame you could imagine.
It was super hard for me to put on muscle and I soon realized that I needed to bolster my diet regimen by adding a lot more protein.
Protein powders was my main go-to and I found them to be convenient, effective and absolutely delicious when pair with the right combination of ingredients.
I quickly realized that not all protein powders are created equal: some are super high quality, some taste like sand and some are downright garbage in a tub.
I started to read a lot of books and took a few basic nutrition classes; the things that some of these companies were putting into their protein supplements were shocking…
I really wished that I hadn’t spent so much money using powders that were ineffective and produced using cheap ingredients so I set out to spread my findings with my closest friends at the gym.
Pretty soon, I became the go-to guy for anything related to protein supplements.
I had an opinion about every protein shake at the local supplement store and I’m pretty sure I had tried almost all of the major protein powders that had ever held shelf space at any GNC!
I started blogging about my favorite protein shakes in 2010 and the website took off.
People really cared about the quality of the protein that they were putting their hard earned money into buying and I felt really good to help out.
Fast forward 5 years and our site has grown to the #1 authority when it comes to unbiased protein powder reviews and analysis.
I’ve added a lot of people who are much smarter than I am to help run the daily operations of the site and we are now a close knit family of 8, all from around the world.
It’s pretty cool to see how a site committed to comparing protein powders has grown but I consider it all a blessing.
